Q
What factors determine how my listing appears in search results?
At a high-level, the factors that affect search ranking can be broken down into the following categories: guest preferences and bump up options. As an owner, you have total control these factors.
Keep in mind that each renter will see different results when searching based on the preferences they add.
Guest preferences
Search results may vary depending on the person, their preferences, and the specifics of their adventure.
  • Location relevance: Renters can search broadly at the province level or narrow into specific cities and towns, so we try to show search results that are most relevant to their location preferences.
  • Gear relevance: Renters can search broadly at gear category level or narrow into specific gear sub-categories, so we try to show search results that are most relevant to their gear preferences.
Bump up options
As an owner, you have total control over the bump up options. Bump up options are available to owners at an additional fee and ensures that your listing gets preference by being showcased in the most viewed-and popular sections of the GoGet platform. Bump up options are divided into:
  • Home Page Premium Listing: Your listing will appear on the GoGet homepage, visible to all renters who visit the GoGet platform.
  • Featured Listing: Your listing will appear as one of the top three listings per category of preference. You'll reach renters that are specifically looking for gear the same as or related to yours.
  • Border Bomb Listing: Your listing will receive a bright orange border which will make it stand out from the rest.
